Surrounded by the clear waters of the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar is a group of islands full of history, culture, and stunning coastlines. Once a major center for the spice and slave trades, it’s still a place where African, Arab, and European influences come together in a unique Swahili culture. In Stone Town - Zanzibar’s historic heart - you’ll find narrow streets, old carved doors, and the smell of spices in the air, all telling stories from long ago.

Beyond the busy streets, Zanzibar’s beaches shine with white sand and calm blue seas. On Unguja Island, coral reefs and forests like Jozani-Chwaka Bay offer space for adventure and relaxation. Further north, Pemba Island is quieter and greener, famous for its clove farms, untouched beaches, and some of the best diving spots in East Africa. Life on the islands still follows old traditions, from seaweed farming to sailing wooden dhows.

NB: Zanzibar includes two main islands - Unguja and Pemba - and is divided into five regions: Mjini Magharibi, Kaskazini Unguja, Kusini Unguja, Kaskazini Pemba, and Kusini Pemba.
